Posted in the topic Is there a way to extract only selected contacts from a bulk .vcf file? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions

Yes, you can extract selected contacts only from a bulk .vcf file using the manual and automatic methods. The VCF file contains all contacts in a structured format, so if you want to filter particular entries or selected contacts , it is not easy without messing up the file.

The best way is to use a reliable VCF splitter or contact manager tool that allows selective extraction. With the right method, you can:

    1. Split bulk VCF file into individual contacts

    2. Select only required contacts to export

    3. Keep all details (name, phone, email) intact

    4. Avoid formatting errors or data loss

I had a similar need and solved it using GainTools Address Book Manager. It lets you split VCF files and then choose specific contacts easily, without damaging the file structure.

Posted in the topic How do I split a VCF file for smooth Google Contacts import? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions

Split VCF for Google Contacts Without Errors (Easy & Safe Method)
If the contacts are not imported from the split VCF file, then the problem lies with the splitting of the VCF file, which breaks the format of the file. Google Contacts is very particular about the format of the vCard file, i.e., the VCF file.
If the splitting of the VCF file is done properly, then the import of the contacts can be done smoothly using the Google Contacts application.
    A good VCF splitter should:
    1. Split the large VCF files into smaller files.
    2. Ensure the correct format of the BEGIN:VCARD and END:VCARD tags are maintained
    3. Ensure all the contact information is maintained properly in the split files
    4. Support all vCard versions for smooth Google Contacts import
I had the same issue and fixed it using GainTools Address Book Manager. It performs accurate bulk VCF splitting and creates files that import into Google Contacts without errors.
