Posted in the topic Best way to organize IBM MAXIMO Training for a global team? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    April 21, 2026 2:26 AM PDT

My company is planning to standardize our maintenance processes across our offices in India, the UAE, and the UK. We’ve decided that we need professional IBM MAXIMO Training for all our engineers to ensure everyone is on the same page. Have any of you managed a large-scale training rollout like this? We are looking for trainers who can offer customized modules for our specific industry needs. I’d love to hear your experiences or suggestions for good training providers.

Posted in the topic The Risks of Overusing IBM TRIRIGA Customization Services in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    February 23, 2026 3:51 AM PST

Every organization has its own business processes, but defining the difference between minimal best practices required for customization versus extensive coding changes is something we all struggle with. By using IBM TRIRIGA Customization Services, you can achieve your desired business logic, but you run the risk of being stuck in "upgrade hell" due to your customizations when the platform is updated to the next version. When should you use OOTB features only, and when can you create custom workflows? It would be beneficial for us to discuss the decision criteria we use for approving customizations so that we ensure that your system will be both scalable and easily maintainable in the future.

Posted in the topic Is IBM MAXIMO really the best choice for Asset Management? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    February 19, 2026 2:33 AM PST

Hello all; we at work have been researching some upgrades for a maintenance software program, and so far we have been leaning toward the IBM MAXIMO as our first option after reviewing other systems. A particular piece of advice that I would like to get from people who may currently use this product would be on the learning curve associated with using this type of software. The reason for this is that we manage many pieces of heavy equipment, and would like to ensure that we have a product that can effectively help us track both down time and inventory. I'm hoping you can give me some honest opinions on how easy it is for a daily technician in the field to use MAXIMO. Any insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
