Posted in the topic Just had my diff rebuilt and wow what a difference in the forum News and Announcements
    July 11, 2026 4:28 AM PDT

So a few months back I started hearing this awful grinding noise from the rear of my Patrol whenever I made tight turns, especially in parking lots or when maneuvering slowly. It got progressively worse over time and I knew I couldn't keep ignoring it because eventually it was going to leave me stranded somewhere. I took it to a few places for quotes and some of them were absolutely insane, like they wanted to replace the entire differential assembly which would have cost me more than half the value of the car. One place even told me I should just sell the car and buy something newer, which was super helpful of them. I eventually found a specialist who actually knew what they were talking about and they explained that the problem was with the limited slip clutches and spider gears, and that a rebuild with new bearings and seals would solve it without needing to replace the whole unit. They quoted me a fair price and I decided to go ahead with it even though I was pretty nervous about the whole process because I'd never had that kind of work done before. I ended up taking it to a shop that I found through https://800sayara.com/car-differential-repair/ class=""> and honestly the whole experience was surprisingly smooth, they kept me updated throughout the process and explained exactly what they were doing. The car drives like a completely different vehicle now, no more grinding, no more whining, just smooth quiet operation and I've even noticed my fuel economy improved a bit because everything is properly aligned and free of resistance. If you're hearing weird noises from the rear end, seriously don't ignore it because it only gets more expensive the longer you put it off, get it checked out by someone who knows what they're doing before it turns into a much bigger problem.

Posted in the topic Need a genuine car battery supplier in Dubai for a Land Cruiser – mobile service a must in the forum News and Announcements
    July 11, 2026 3:24 AM PDT

I'm in a bit of a spot with my 2018 Land Cruiser, the battery has been struggling to crank for the last few mornings and I know with the heat coming, I need to get it sorted before I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. I'm looking for a mobile service that can come to my location because I really don't have the time to sit around at a garage, especially with work being so busy. The thing is, I've used a couple of those random guys before and ended up with a battery that died after a year, so I'm determined to find a genuine car battery supplier in Dubai this time around, someone who actually uses new, warrantied parts from a trusted brand like Amaron or Bosch, not some refurbished unit. I've been hearing about a few services that do 24/7 mobile replacements and even test the alternator and starter before they just swap it out, which sounds like a much more professional approach than what I've experienced before. Has anyone here used a reliable mobile battery service in Dubai recently that they'd recommend, especially for a 4x4 that needs a strong AGM battery to handle the heat? I'd really appreciate some real feedback before I make any calls.

Posted in the topic New recycling plant in Muscat – need hundreds of crates for sorted materials in the forum News and Announcements
    June 9, 2026 10:31 PM PDT

We're finally opening a small recycling facility in the Mabella industrial area next month, focused on sorting and baling plastics and aluminum. One thing I completely underestimated is how many containers we'll need for the different material streams before they get crushed and baled. I'm talking about separate crates for clear PET, colored HDPE, aluminum cans, and then a few more for contamination rejects. I've been trying to find a reliable plastic crates supplier in Muscat that can handle a bulk order of maybe 600 to 800 crates, all the same size so they stack nicely, but maybe with different colors so workers can easily tell which stream is which. The problem is most local suppliers I've found only keep maybe 100 in stock and would take weeks to order the rest. I saw a UAE based company online that seems to specialize in industrial crates but I'm not sure if they have a presence here in Oman. Does anyone know a supplier that regularly stocks large quantities or can deliver to Muscat from Dubai without killing us on shipping? Also, any advice on whether open or solid crates work better for dusty recyclables? Thanks in advance for any tips, this is my first time setting up something like this.

Posted in the topic Should I inspect a car that's still under manufacturer warranty? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    June 5, 2026 10:29 PM PDT

I'm considering a 2020 Mercedes E350 in Hor Al Anz that still has about 14 months of factory warranty left. The seller says there's no need for an inspection because any mechanical issues would be covered by the dealer. But I'm worried about things the warranty doesn't cover, like accident damage, worn interior, or maintenance items. The car has 70k km and looks clean. I found a company that offers Skilled Car Assessment Hor Al Anz and they can do a full check. Is it worth spending 600 AED on a car that's still under warranty? My friend says I'm wasting money, but I've heard of warranty claims being denied for pre-existing conditions or because the car was in an unreported accident. Has anyone here bought a warrantied car and later found hidden damage that the warranty didn't cover? I'm leaning toward getting the inspection for peace of mind. Any advice on what to focus on for a car that still has warranty would be great. Thanks.

Posted in the topic My car suddenly sounds like a lawnmower – is this an exhaust leak? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    June 1, 2026 3:26 AM PDT

Driving home last night and out of nowhere my car got super loud, like a deep growly noise that gets worse when I press the gas. It's not the usual engine sound and I swear I can smell a bit of fume inside the cabin when I'm stopped. I'm pretty sure something broke loose underneath but I don't have a lift to check properly. Been searching for a decent exhaust system repair Dubai because I know driving with a leak can be dangerous with carbon monoxide and all that. Saw Dynostar's exhaust page and they mention welding and patching which sounds better than replacing the whole thing. Has anyone here had a pipe rust through or a flange gasket blow out and managed to get it fixed cheap without buying a whole new catback? Just trying to figure out if this is a quick weld job or if I should start saving up.
