How to Maintain a Frontal for Long-Lasting Wear

Keeping a lace frontal looking fresh and flawless takes a little strategy, mostly centred around a solid night routine and gentle handling. The goal is to keep that lace intact and prevent the adhesive from lifting too soon.

First rule of thumb: never go to bed without wrapping your hair. Tying a silk or satin scarf snugly around your hairline keeps the lace completely flat and stops friction from wrecking your style while you toss and turn. When it comes to detangling, put down the fine-tooth combs. Use a wide size tooth comb, starting at the tips and working your way up. Tugging or pulling near the base will rip the lace or cause massive shedding.

When it’s time for a wash, be wary of using heavy oils or alcohol-based serums around the hairline, as they could break down your glue or tape. Choose sulfate-free products and use cool water. In case there are any liftings, do not try to pull it out on your own.
