I feel like a lot of attention goes to problems in the big metro cities, while the villages get left behind. I am trying to find a list of Popular NGOs in India that specifically focus on rural health and sanitation. It seems like a tougher job because the logistics are so hard in remote areas. I know pard has been working in this space for a while. It is interesting to see how a Charity For Education In India often has to double as a health organization because you can't teach a sick child. I think the most effective Popular NGOs in India are the ones that take this holistic approach to village life.
