Usually, the Linksys Velop purple light means that your node is in setup mode or cannot establish a connection to the main router. This problem tends to arise during or right after the Linksys Velop setup. Just check your internet connection though the main modem as a remedy. Ensure that the primary Velop node is linked via Ethernet. Should the light still remain purple, then restart both the modem and the Velop node.
Now, confirm that the Velop app is updated and follow its directions to set up your device. Alternatively, if the purple light persists, reset the node by holding the reset button, four or five inches below, for about 10 seconds, and then set it up again via the app.
Issues like the purple light could also arise due to outdated firmware, so update it directly from the app in the Linksys app settings.
Follow these procedures to restore a pretty solid connection and, again, finish your Linksys Velop Setup for uninterrupted Wi-Fi faithfulness across your home. And surveillance through the Linksys app will feature as a preventive prize from further purple light errors.
