Hormone responsive tumors (breast cancer) in postmenopausal patients are increasing. Exemestane 25mg tablet acts as an aromatase inhibitor which works by supressing the levels of estrogen (natural female hormone) as a post- surgery treatment. Breastfeeding or pregnant women should avoid consumption. Do not take it with any other medication which contain estrogen or birth control pills. It may also increase the risk of osteoporosis (weak bones). Make regular visits to the doctor for progress. It is not recommended for children. Always consult a doctor before starting any new drug.
