Is it worth hiring a specialized webflow design company over a traditional agency?

I'm overseeing a complete digital redesign for our company which specializes in mid-market software solutions. Our current site is hosted on an outdated legacy system that requires submitting a ticket to an external developer in order to make any simple text updates - this is causing a bottleneck in our ability to grow as a business. I'm pushing hard to move the entire ecosystem over to Webflow so our marketing team can actually manage things natively moving forward.

We are currently vetting vendors, and I'm leaning toward hiring a dedicated webflow design company instead of a broad, jack-of-all-trades creative shop. I think partnering with a specialized team (like a boutique Webflow design company) would give us clean semantic code, impeccable custom animation mapping without slowing down the site speed, etc. Has anyone else had any experience partnering with a boutique Webflow design firm and did it result in a scalable/modular system that your internal marketing; team was able to manage without destroying the formatting? I'd love to hear about your day-to-day collaboration experiences before we sign a six-figure contract. Let me know your thoughts!
