I have been trying to understand how affiliates actually make paid traffic work in the adult space. It sounds simple on the surface, but once you try it, things get confusing pretty quickly.
When I first looked into ways to Promote Adult Platforms, I assumed it was just about running ads and getting clicks. But after testing a few campaigns, I realized it is not that straightforward. The traffic came in, but conversions were all over the place.
One problem I ran into was choosing the wrong type of traffic. I tried going for the cheapest clicks thinking it would give me better margins, but most of that traffic did not convert at all. It felt like I was just burning budget without learning much.
Then I started paying more attention to where the traffic was coming from. Some sources just worked better for adult offers, especially ones where users already expect that kind of content. That alone made a noticeable difference.
Another thing I noticed is that landing pages matter way more than I thought. Sending users directly to an offer did not work well for me. But when I added a simple pre page that warmed them up a bit, conversions improved. Nothing fancy, just something that matched the ad and set expectations.
I also experimented with ad creatives. The ones that felt more natural and less pushy seemed to perform better. It is like people can tell when something is too aggressive and just ignore it.
I am still figuring things out, but it feels like success here comes from small adjustments rather than big changes. Curious if others had a similar experience or found a better approach.
