Link indexing (or backlink indexing) is the process by which search engines like Google crawl and add external links (backlinks) pointing to your website into their database (index). Once a backlink is indexed, the search engine recognizes the linking page and can pass link juice (SEO value/authority) to your site. If a backlink is not indexed, it provides little to no ranking benefit even if it’s high-quality.
