Hi everyone!
I want to make sure a padel court is built correctly. What are the exact length and width for an official court? How tall should the walls be and does it matter if the court is indoors or outdoors?
I have seen different setups with glass or metal mesh walls and I am unsure if that affects the playing area. Any diagrams, official references or tips for getting it regulation-compliant would be really helpful.
I want players to have the right experience and follow the official rules.
A regulation padel court is 20 meters long and 10 meters wide. The net is 0.88 meters high at the center and 0.92 meters at the posts. Back walls are 3 meters high (rising to 4 meters at the ends), and side walls are usually 3 meters high for the first 2/3, possibly extending to 4 meters. Walls can be glass or metal mesh, but glass is required for competitive play; the material does not change the official dimensions. For detailed measurements and setup tips, platforms like Courtslytics can be very helpful. Indoor or outdoor courts use the same measurements, and it’s recommended to leave at least 1 meter of free space around the court for safety.
