What Are Mushrooms and Why Are They Important?

Mushrooms in Arc Raiders are an uncommon consumable item. When consumed, they heal you for a small amount of health—15 health points, to be exact. This makes them extremely useful in a pinch, especially when you don’t have time to use more powerful healing items.

Additionally, mushrooms are used in the Scrappy upgrade path. So, if you're aiming to level up your Scrappy companion, you’ll need to gather mushrooms as part of the crafting process.

Where Can You Find Mushrooms?

Mushrooms spawn in several locations, but they are especially common around water, trees, and pipes. In the Dam Battlegrounds, there are a few specific spots where you can find mushrooms growing. Here's where to look:

1. Water Treatment Control – Here, mushrooms can be found growing on pipes. Look around these areas, especially near the larger structures, for mushrooms sitting on or around pipes.

2. Hydroponic Dome Complex – This area is surrounded by sandy shores, and you can often find mushrooms growing near the irrigation planters that are part of the area’s design. Check inside the planters as well.

3. Central Swamp Lift – Mushrooms tend to grow on the nearby trees here. If you're near the lift area, scan the trees for any mushrooms that might be growing at their base.

4. Wreckage – This location features mushrooms near the Baron Husk and fallen trees. It’s a good area to explore, especially if you’re near the Dam region’s edges.

Other Locations to Check for Mushrooms

While the Dam region is a key location for finding mushrooms, there are other areas in the game where they can also spawn. If you're looking to gather more, you can check out the following places:

• Spaceport: At the East Container Yard, there's a small hangar south of the location, and a nearby tree has a guaranteed mushroom spawn. Additionally, you can find mushrooms inside the underground tunnels in the center of the map.

• Wicker Baskets: Sometimes, mushrooms are found inside Wicker Baskets scattered throughout various regions. These can be a great source, so don’t forget to open any you come across.

How to Use Mushrooms

Mushrooms heal 15 health points per consumption, and it only takes 1 second to use them. This makes them a great quick fix in the middle of a firefight or after taking damage. Since mushrooms stack up to 10 in your inventory, you can carry a decent amount with you for healing on the go.

Additionally, mushrooms are a key crafting material if you plan to buy arc raiders Equalizer blueprint or if you're leveling up your Scrappy companion in the Workshop. Make sure to keep some on hand for these purposes.

Can Mushrooms Be Recycled or Salvaged?

In Arc Raiders, mushrooms cannot be recycled or salvaged. They’re purely consumable and cannot be used in crafting or breaking down for other resources. So, while you can't get additional materials from them, the health benefits and their use in upgrading your Scrappy companion make them well worth gathering.
