Update procedures for the BIOS will not erase your computer hardware yet they can revise selected system configuration options. Post-update procedures may return your BIOS to the default settings.

The BIOS update process affects only system default settings while leaving your operating system files programs and system programs unaffected and keeping data intact even with proper pre-update data backups in place.
