The name is "FieldSENSE," this new mechanics system is supposed to transform the entire Madden experience for good. As revealed in the Madden NFL 24 reveal trailer, FieldSENSE is the blanket term EA is using to describe all the adjustments making their way into this game's gameplay, from the way players move around to the way they pass, and how hit detection works.
Underneath this FieldSENSE definition, is a subsystem that is known as "Hit Everything." The new physics-based adjustment will follow the exact movements of an individual player and identify the precise location on the body that has been hit during the collision. This is likely to lead to more realistic animations of characters following a collision, with the player reacting in a way which is a natural representation of how it might appear in a real-life match of football. For instance, if the player gets knocked in the shoulder area, they'll most likely fall sideways and then roll according to a specific pattern determined by the location of the impact.
A "Skill-Based passing" system will also come as part of the FieldSENSE new mechanic. According to EA the system will utilize the new technology of physics to make the animations for throwing and catching appear more realistic. When you enable Skill Based Passing it will allow players to use the latest accuracy reticle along with a power meter that will allow them to target accurate and powerful throws.
